The Prosper Riley-Smith Effectiveness Award

In honour of the late Prosper Riley-Smith, a renowned researcher whose challenging approach and alternative perspectives on business problems made him an inspiration to researchers and business leaders alike, the AQR presents the Prosper Riley-Smith Effectiveness Award.

Established in 2003, the prestigious Prosper Riley-Smith Effectiveness Award is a regular fixture on the qualitative research calendar. The judges, who are drawn from senior figures in both client organisations and research, look for examples of where qualitative research has uniquely made a difference to the success of a business. The judges face a difficult task as the quality of of entries gets better and better each year. The winners receive a cash prize of £1500, but more importantly, they win the respect of their fellow researchers, employers and clients.
