Exploring the Unconscious through Trance Research

Neuroscience finds that most thought processes which determine our decisions happen unconsciously. Hypnosis enables us to explore consumers' unconscious connections directly. In a trance-state, people can describe the hidden web of associations, images and feelings that surrounds their brand choices and influences their behaviour.

Lisa Morgan first learnt hypnosis 20 years ago and since then has developed her skills through conducting visioning workshops and trance research with consumers internationally. Currently Vice Chair of the UK Guild of Hypnotist Examiners, Lisa is a trainer of Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as well as being a practitioner. She has worked at director level in research companies and as a consumer planner in advertising agencies, including JWT. Her business career also includes a stint as Planning and Research Director, Asia Pacific, for Diageo (UD), a role which took her to Japan where she lived for almost 9 years. She has written a book about teenagers’ unconscious visions of the future that was published in Japan and Taiwan.

As well as conducting trance research, she uses hypnosis-based techniques with teams for idea generation, strategic development and insight.
