Analysis and Interpretation Skills
Tools and techniques to help you to get from fieldwork data to killer insight. A 1 day course covering the journey from data to meaning. Led by Caroline Florence, Insight Narrator
Do you ever wonder how more senior colleagues seem to waltz into an analysis session with all the answers?
Do you ever get the fear of the blank page when starting to write your presentations?
Do you finish your fieldwork with ideas buzzing round your head but are unsure how to pin them down into a compelling story?
Then help is at hand, with our Analysis and Interpretation Skills course. .
For researchers with 0-3 years experience
This is a one-day course with a hands-on approach, designed to help you understand the key skills needed to do great analysis and then get a compelling story together.
You will be given coaching and constructive feedback to help you get a solid story in place to share with your team and your clients.
The day will be a mixture of theory and practice, all highly interactive. You will work in small groups, with plenty of opportunity for individual questions.
Course Leader: Caroline Florence, Insight Narrator
Caroline is the founder of Insight Narrator, an independent training and coaching consultancy that helps professionals working with research and data increase the impact of what they do. Since founding Insight Narrator in 2012, Caroline has trained and coached thousands of researchers, analysts, planners and insight specialists from large marketing services organisations, boutique agencies and in-house insight and analytics teams. Caroline will be assisted by tutors Katie Slater, Acacia Avenue and Caroline Noon, Vivid Research and Planning
The course will cover:
- Working through the content via different approaches to analysis
- Identifying the key themes
- How to build your themes into stories
- How to structure the findings to make it tell the story effectively
- How to run downloading and brainstorming sessions
In preparation, you will be asked to come along armed with a recent project that you have worked on. This will form the basis of the practical tasks on the day.
