Moderating Skills Two Day Workshop
Our two day Moderating Skills Workshop has a hands-on approach providing learning the theory and then working in small syndicate groups as a moderator and as a respondent to build your skill set. Coaching and constructive feedback gives you the opportunity to refine your skills and help you build confidence to get on with moderating your own groups
All students to AQR Core Skills course are encouraged to watch the AQR introductory video before attending their first AQR training course. The video lasts about 10 minutes and the topics included are:
- Just what is qualitative research?
- A little on our industry's past, present and future
- What makes for a great qualitative researcher
- What we typically do (projects, techniques and so on)
The objective of this video is giving you the headspace to reflect on the foundations of qual before you start your training with us.
Preparing for the course
Before the workshop you will be sent suggested reading materials and questionnaires to help us allocate you to syndicate groups.
In order to get the most out of the workshop, it is recommended that you allow for approximately 2 hours of advance preparation and reading over the 2 weeks leading up to the workshop.
Learning outcomes from the course
From theory to practice this two day workshop of hands-on-training will cover
