Ninth Seat

RDSi is now Ninth Seat.

Back in the 1980s Research and Development Services (or RDSi) was a name designed to navigate clients through the fledgling world of insight. Today we steer clients through the now complex and exhilarating world of consumer insight and business strategy.

After 40 years we are the longest running independent research agency in the country, offering full service qual and quant research in the UK and globally.

So, we must be doing something right...

After many conversations with our clients, our partners and our employees, we have a clear understand what it is that makes us special (and enduring!) as a research agency:

We are trusted guides and lifelong thought partners
Our clients ambitions become our ambitions
We are masters of our craft
We are powerful and insightful storytellers
Everything we do is underpinned by integrity
And we hold the unfashionable belief that research cannot be trademarked, it can only be trained

The Ninth Seat name reflects these values it is confident and well crafted. And it alludes to the origins of our name the coxswain's seat.

Give us a call, or drop us an email. We're ready to guide you.

We also have our own in-house, full client service, venue and viewing facility, The Front Room, in Central London.
