One-day Online Moderating Skills Course

***FULLY BOOKED*** New to moderating and want to get a bit more experience under your belt? Done some online or face to face depths or groups already but keen to check you're on the right track? Want to get some practical hints and tips to build your confidence managing an online session?

AQR’s One-day introduction to moderating online is perfect for anyone who is new-ish to research and wants some live moderating experience (and feedback) to feel more confident in the online environment.

We believe there are some different skills required to moderate online really well and we know that there are different challenges as a moderator in managing participants / clients and of course technology. In addition, there are some principles of moderation that are true in any space, and we will cover these as well.

We’re packing plenty of hands-on experience into our One-day course. It’s theory-light, though we’ll lay some smart groundwork along the way.

What do you need to know?
During the day you will moderate a section of a live group and get personal feedback from a tutor.

The day will run from 10am — 5pm, with several long breaks over the course of the day (there’s only so much screen time we can handle!)

The course is aimed at newer researchers, including those who may have some moderating experience already.

The tutors:
Natasha Ward, Acacia Avenue
Ed Nash, Sky
Tony Laverty, TLC
Deborah Simmons, Camino Insight
