Conducting Effective Intercepts Course

This face-to-face course will equip people with all they need to prepare, plan and execute brilliant intercepts.

AQR’s Conducting Effective Intercepts Course

Thursday 18th July 2024
10:00am - 4:30pm

Capturing in-the-moment feedback, in a store, or a high street, is invaluable for many briefs and provides insights we can’t get from a group discussion.

But intercepts and observations are often harder work than they look.

There is a skill to approaching strangers for what is a lot more than ‘just a quick chat’, to make sure these conversations really add value.

This face-to-face course will equip people starting out in research with all they need to prepare, plan and execute brilliant intercepts.

The day will include:

  • Coaching and theory related to when intercepts and observations meet a client’s brief and what questions are best asked in this environment (and how)
  • Establishing how to prepare for getting out there, including how we can feel safe
  • A guest speaker to give us some great tips for observing consumer behaviour in situ
  • A practical chance to put the theory into practise. We’ll be getting out there to conduct intercepts in the shopping areas of Angel, London and then reflecting on our experiences
