Lifelogging takes to the air
Researchers have become familiar with lifelogging cameras, such as the Autographer and the Narrative Clip, which allow people to keep a record of their lives by taking photos at predetermined periods.
The advent of the PlexiDrone Camera, though, essentially a flying camera, could represent a great ethnographic tool for us researchers. It is piloted with an iOS or Android mobile device, and the GPS Follow Me function appeals to action sports enthusiasts, providing a consistent birdseye view of their pursuit. If you are lucky to have multiple devices, you can activate the Swarm feature, which allows you to control all the devices with one smartphone.
