Liesbeth Gerritsen studied social psychology and got her PhD in methodology of social sciences. Her dissertation covers loneliness among young adults and instruments to measure that. In 1997 she started to work in qualitative market research, first with Interview, later at MARE. At MARE, she is senior researcher and member of the management team. She is CSD for international research, and social and public research.
